NECTAR has two Guest Houses. Our facility offers a comfortable and secure stay for visiting officials, researchers, and guests associated with the North East Centre for Technology Application and Reach (NECTAR)

1. Shillong Guest House: Located in the serene environment of Shillong, Meghalaya. Shillong is a captivating hill city renowned for its pleasant climate, lush green landscapes, cascading waterfalls, and vibrant cultural heritage. 2. Guwahati Guest House: Located in Guwahati, the gateway to Northeast India, beautifully blends natural charm with seamless connectivity. Guwahati, the largest city in Northeast India, is a vibrant destination where ancient heritage meets modern urban life. Nestled along the majestic Brahmaputra River, it is home to renowned landmarks such as the revered Kamakhya Temple, scenic riverfronts, and bustling local markets. As the principal gateway to the Northeast, Guwahati offers excellent air, rail, and road connectivity, making it an ideal starting point for exploring the region. Standard Operating Procedures

1. Booking Procedure

• Booking requests must be submitted through the prescribed application form.
• Requests should be made at least two days in advance along with valid ID proof.
• Rooms are allotted on a first-come, first-served basis.
• Preference is given to officials on official duty.

2. Check-in / Check-out Procedure

• Guests must adhere to the approved duration of stay as mentioned in the booking form.
• Full payment (accommodation and food) must be cleared before check-out.

3. Usage of Facilities & Conduct Guidelines

• Guests must maintain proper conduct and discipline within the premises.

Smoking and liquor consumption are strictly prohibited.

• Activities causing disturbance (e.g., loud TV/music, especially after 10 PM) are not permitted.
• Guests must not damage or alter room property; any loss/damage will be chargeable.
• Gambling or inappropriate activities are strictly prohibited.
• Guests are responsible for their belongings; management is not liable for lost valuables.

4. General Responsibility

• Guests must ensure compliance with all rules and maintain a peaceful environment for others.
• Any violation of rules may lead to penalties or denial of future bookings.
