North East Centre for Technology Application and Reach (NECTAR) is an autonomous Institute, established in 2012 under Department of Science & Technology (DST), Govt. of India with the approval of the Cabinet Committee, Govt. of India. NECTAR is registered as Society under Society Registration Act 1860 in the year 2012 with prescribed Memorandum of Association MoA) and By-Laws. Two missions namely National Mission for Bamboo Application (NMBA) and Mission for Geospatial Applications (MGA) which were approved by DST in the year 2005 & 2009 respectively, merged with NECTAR.
